The Buddy v1.2

The 2008-02-03 at 16:36 by Léo Studer. In Home page.

Disclaimer:

This new release is intended for use with Plume v1.2.3 only !

The template is now fully localizable using .lang files, so beware translators, it’s up to you ! Changes include minor modifications, and tweaks on the great localization work done by Jojoba. Kudos to him. Also I included the new comments count function that is included with Plume 1.2.3.

Howto install

  • Extract the content of the archive into a temporary folder on your computer. It should create a manager folder, containing two folders respectively called templates and tools.
  • Upload these templates and tools folders, using FTP, onto the manager/ directory of your Plume! installation. (most commonly on a remote server)
  • You are now ready to select the template with your online Plume! manager interface: Sites » then choose to edit your website, it will open
a window where you will be able to select to use the available templates.
  • You might have to clean your cache: Tools » Plume CMS information » Reset the cache in order to update your website.

Hello and thanks again for the great work on the templates.
I'm glad you decided to add language support to your templates. I just got the files from sourceforge yesterday and i'm still working on them however i'd like to report a few (minor)issues.

1) The readme file in orange and purple buddy reports that the templates are issued under the CC 3.0 license while the descriptions report the CC 2.5 license.

2) You are using the string "Get Firefox 2". I'd suggest to drop the "2" since that would make the template look outdated quite soon - hopefully :-)

3)In both templates there's a typo(?) in the description string and the desc.xml(there's a "</p>" at the end of the line while there's no "<p>").Plus, both descriptions do not show up localized in plume manager(could be a plume problem though)

4)Both those templates use 3 images that can not be localised. The "Go!" image is not that importand but the "Preview" and "Submit" images are.

5)There's more issues with the plain cherry template.
5.1)I'm having problems with the "sitemap" and "Feeds" strings. There's not enough space for the Greek words and though the "<small> tag solves the issue at least for Firefox, it also displays in the tooltip so i guess it's not the right way to handle the issue.
5.2)There's another problem with the font that "go to menu" and "go to content" strings are displayed. They look quite scrambled for Greek. I used the <samp> tag to make the text at least readable for Firefox but it breaks the template in both IE and Opera (versions 6 and 9 respectively)

Ooops. just found another one..The "Preview" button actually submits the comment instead of giving a preview for it, thus the double post..sorry for that :)
very nice! great!
but how can change the color, like in the menu you have done? (flavour)???

ciao
